Pipet, Bacteriological, Color-Coded, SAFE-GARD Tempered Tip, Kimble | DWK Life Sciences
KIMAX-51 pipet with a scale of permanent brown stain fused into the surface of uniform bore tubing without etching. The 1.1, 2.2 and 11.0mL sizes are calibrated in accordance with specifications of the American Public Health Association as published in Standard methods for the Examination of Dairy Products. All of the sizes mentioned above are calibrated to deliver the correct volume of undiluted milk when the small amount remaining in the tip, after free delivery has ceased, is blown out and added to the free delivery volume. However, for diluted milk, the correct volume is delivered without blowing out. Hence, none of these sizes have been marked to denote that the pipet is "calibrated for blowout." The 10mL size does have the markings. The 10 and 11mL sizes are tooled for a cotton plug at the top end. Color coded for ease in sorting and selecting the correct size pipet. All sizes have tempered tips. Sizes 2.2 and 11.0mL are designed from ASTM Specification E1043, Type IV A requirements.
NOTE: Actual volume of water contained at 20°C at each graduation line is specified as follows: 0.5 (0.54)mL, 1.0 (1.075mL, 1.1 (1.180)mL, 2.0 (2.150)mL, 2.1 (2.255)mL, 2.2 (2.360)mL, 11 (11.6)mL.
