Inoculating Loops, Clone-Pik™
The Clone-Pik is a modern, sterile alternative to using a wooden toothpick to transfer bacterial clones from petri plates into PCR mixes. The Clone-Pik takes the worry out of your work by offering reliability and no chance of inhibition to the PCR as is common with wooden toothpicks and other common clone transfer devices.
This simple plastic device is pre-loaded in boxes of 96 and is used with a plastic handle. To use the device insert the plastic handle through the sealing film, lock on to the Clone-Pik and then withdraw the handle. The sterile Clone-Pik is now ready to use. When the transfer is complete simply eject the Clone-Pik from the Pik Handle and reload for your next transfer.
Representative lots of the Clone-Pik are tested for absence of PCR inhibitors and are certified to be sterile and DNase-, RNase-free.
