Filter Paper, Quantitative Ashless, Grade F120, Slow Flow Rate, 4 um Particle Retention
Quantitative or "Ashless" filter papers are used for analytical procedures such as gravimetric analysis. These papers are all 100% pure cotton composition and feature ash contents of less than 0.012%. A final acid treatment removes any remaining organic or inorganic impurities. Specially treated, hardened ashless papers are available for applications requiring increased wet strength and improved handling capacity. These hardened grades, with a tough, smooth surface free of loose fibers, are ideal for collecting wet precipitates.
Paper Characteristics:
Hardened Ashless. Fine retention for very fine particles, barium and lead sulfates, stannic and nickel sulfide, calcium oxalate, calcium fluoride.
