The 5000 Series Chillers are supplied with built-in heaters and high temperature components.
They cool at low temperatures, but also have the capability to control near ambient temperatures and higher. These models should be used at any temperature when the external heat load is intermittent and does not provide enough heat to permit balanced temperature control with the refrigeration system.

The Superior Alternative to Tapwater Cooling. The 5000 Series Chillers provide clean, reliable temperature controlled fluid for open tanks or closed loop cooling. Powerful pumping, no scale build-up, constant cooling, plus no temperature fluctuations are advantages of using a chiller. You save water and sewerage costs which are "money down the drain".
Greater Cooling Power, to -15°C. The 5000 Series Chillers give up to 25% more cooling than competitive units - without higher prices. You also get lower operation temperatures in addition to more heat removal. Our new high-efficiency heat exchanger assures efficiency heat exchanger assures efficient cooling with reserve power to spare. Reserve heat removal capability is especially important when dealing with variable heat loads. Plus this extra cooling power may fill future needs.
Digital Set and Readout. Get digital convenience and microprocessor control at the price of less precise analog models. Operating temperature is continuously displayed to 0.1°C and with the touch of a button, the set temperature can be quickly checked. The display readout is selectable in °C or °F. For convenience in viewing, the control panel is slanted, allowing the LED temperature display to be easily read.
Precise Temperature Control.
Temperatures are maintained to ±0.5°C. PolyScience's Cool CommandTM control system senses and allocates the right amount of refrigerant to control cooling precisely. Superior efficiency and precise control are assured by the use of PID controller technology.
Long Compressor Life. The compressor runs quietly an continuously, eliminating the grueling start-stop cycles used in some refrigeration systems. When called for, the microprocessor based refrigeration system easily changes from "coasting" to full cooling. Result - long compressor life, rapid response.
Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Pumps.
It produces high flow at low pressure, is very quiet, and requires little maintenance. Because of these reasons and the fact that fluid flow can be restricted without pump damage, this pump satisfies many applications.
Positive Displacement Pumps.
These pumps produce moderate flow at high pressure and are most suited to applications where greater head pressure is needed. Where fluid must be pumped some distance or where in-line pressure is required to activate flow devices, positive displacement pumps should be chosen.
5000P and 6000P Chillers include a built-in fluid filter and an adjustable pressure regulator to allow for constant flow between 20-100psi. also included is a panel mounted pressure gauge for monitoring the recirculating fluid. If pressure from the positive displacement pump needs to be reduced below 20psi, an external pressure reducing assembly is available.
Tech Tip
External By-Pass for Magnetic Drive Pumps
If your chiller with standard magnetic drive pump is attached to a device with a built-in solenoid valve to shut off cooling flow, a Plumbing By-Pass is needed.
This attachment (Cat. No. W256-72) connects the inlet and outlet with a small tube. When the main flow is stopped, fluid circulate through this bypass. Freeze-up is eliminated and the pump's fluid flow is maintained.
This By-Pass is not required on chillers with positive displacement pumps ("P" Models).
