Speedisk® Silica Columns - Reverse Phase - Octadecyl (C18) Polar Plus, J.T.Baker®
With Speedisk® columns, you can choose the solid phase extraction column that works best with your sample size and performance requirements. For example, use Speedisk® 1, 3 and 6 ml columns for samples from 35 µl to 10 ml when you need high speed and concentration with high recovery. Additional highlights include:
New, optimized, round-rimmed tube made from ultrapure polymer
Tubes fit into all popular processors and racks
Tube inlet adapters are available for use with Gilson ASPEC
"Rimless" 1 ml tube is available for close tube spacing such as a 96-position tube rack
Speedisk® columns are disposable, ultraclean, polypropylene columns pre-packed with high performance microparticles. Featuring a unique laminar configuration, Speedisk® columns operate with smaller solvent volumes and have higher capacity per milligram sorbent than conventional SPE columns. The Speedisk® design shortens run times, increases capacity, and may eliminate pre-filtration and evaporation steps. Columns come in 1 ml, 3 ml or 6 ml sizes, and are filled to levels from 10 mg to 200 mg with a choice of over 20 BAKERBONDTM sorbents. The luer-tipped tubes fit manual vacuum and positive pressure processors; the tube inlet is round-rimmed with a small flange. Also available, a "rimless" 1 ml tube for close tube spacing such as in a 96 position tube rack.
Speedisk® Silica Columns—Two Traditions in One
The attributes of microparticulate silica as a chromatography support fill the HPLC literature, and large particle, silica-based sorbents have been the mainstay of SPE since the first cartridge was commercialized. Speedisk® silica columns combine both traditions by offering microparticulate silica in an SPE column. And it's all made possible by the unique bed support system which characterizes Speedisk® design.
