Medical Grade Tubing ND100-65, Tygon® Norton
Clear, flexible tubing developed specifically for use with heart / lung machines and peristaltic pumps. Recommended for blood transfusions, dialysis, drainage, irrigation, artificial kidneys and similar surgical applications. Meets the criteria of various ISO 10993 and USP tests.Tested for cytotoxicity (MEM Elution Method). Tubing has flex lie greater than that of rubber. Dense, smooth bore provides outstanding flow characteristics. Can be autoclaved or sterilized with steam, radiation or chemicals. Tubing ends are heat-sealed to prevent contamination in shipment. Complies with Federal Specifications L-T-790B. Durometer hardness: Shore A, 64.
Sterilization Methods
Chemical Sterilization: Tygon's exceptional chemical resistance characteristics ideally suit it for sterilization with any of a wide number of germicides. Completely immerse the tubing in the solution for at least 30 minutes, then flush with a saline solution.
Gamma Sterilization: Tygon ND100-65 is radiation sterilizable by a cobalt 60 source up to 4 megarads.
